Operation Military Salute

OPERATION MILITARY SALUTE HONORED AND SALUTED THE MEN AND WOMEN
WHO FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM

Houston, TX (December 27, 2011) - Operation Military Salute along with the Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder (PTSD) Foundation of America and the Houston West Chamber of Commerce hosted an
unforgettable event on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 2-4pm at Second Baptist Church, Woodway
Campus, promoted by Hayley Ranch Consulting, Inc.

Formerly known as the Houston West Chamber of Commerce Salute to Veterans, Operation Military
Salute has a seven-year history, which originally only honored Veterans. This year over 1800 people
attended and was represented by each branch of service from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines,
Coast Guard, and Patriot Guard Riders. The event raised money for local troops thru the PTSD
Foundation of America. “The Houston West Chamber is so proud to be the founding organization of
this patriotic salute to our troops and proud to raise funds to support the PTSD Foundation”, said
Jeannie Bollinger, President and CEO of the Houston West Chamber.

Highlights included the unveiling of three paintings of Texan Fallen Heroes, while bagpipes played
Amazing Grace. The fallen were SGT Clay Hunt, USMC Marine Corp Scout Sniper, SSG JEFFREY
HARTLEY, ARMY Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division and SGT Michael Bielamowicz 3d
Battalion, 160th Special Operations Ft. Stewart Georgia “Night Stalkers “. This event was one of the
highlights throughout the week with the Houston Texans Organization “Week of the Warrior”
commencing on a Houston Texan Armed Forces Day win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday
November 6. Troops from all branches of services were at the game.

The Houston Texans Organization was represented by members of the Robert and Janice McNair
Foundation Board of Directors, executive team, coaches, players, and their families. The Texans
also honored two fallen from their “family” Marine Corp Sgt. Nicolas Hodson, brother in law of Mario
Williams and SGT Michael Bielamowicz.

Having toured as a performer in every conflict since the Vietnam War, Wayne Newton presented the
Texas Heart of Service Award to four American Patriots: Brigadier General Mike P. Cokinos, US
Army, served in WWII, SGT Tim Lee USMC who served in Vietnam, KP McNeal, US Navy, Captain
Patriot Guard Rider, served in Vietnam and Major George McIngvale III US Army, actively serving
and attending the George Bush School of Business at Texas A&M.

“As the promoter of this extraordinary event, I am proud to say we honored our military, raised
money to help our local troops, lifted the spirits of those who attended, and inspired patriotism in
everyone. As a long standing member of Second Baptist Church, we are so grateful to them for
allowing us to have this special event inside their Worship Center,” said Barbara Hayley, event chair,
Operation Military Salute.

Former under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, retired Army Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, and
original member of Delta Force was the keynote speaker. In addition, Mike Thornton, US Navy and
Medal of Honor recipient, along with retired Army Maj. Gen. Robert Dees were guest speakers.

”Charlie Wilson’s War” star Joanne King Herring spoke at the VIP Luncheon and was on hand for a
book signing of her newly released book, Diplomacy & Diamonds. Radio Talk Show Host Joe Pags
did an outstanding job as the Master of Ceremonies. Performances by national recording artists,
Nash 3 and Kevin Black were accompanied by the Second Baptist Church Choir & Orchestra.
The day began at 12 p.m. with a VIP Luncheon (which was sold out) in the Deacon’s Parlor followed
by the main event, which commenced at 2 p.m. in the Worship Center with over 1800 guests.
