Business Database – Strategy and Growth Research

The Houston Public Library and Harris County Library offer the ReferenceUSA business and residential database for local businesses and residents of Houston and Harris County. You can access this database through the libraries’ websites with a valid library card number. Information provided includes details on over 35 million US businesses and 262 million US residents. Records include company name, address, phone, executive contact names, titles and bios, SIC codes, NAICS codes, employee size, # of years in business, annual sales volume, credit ratings, and much more. Users have the ability to create customized lists for sales leads, marketing intelligence, building a business plan, and more. The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise, and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation. Retired Executives counsel business owners FREE! As a Resource Partner of the Small Business Administration, SCORE can help small businesses obtain the funds they need for a successful future.
