volunteer to represent the chamber at various events and
become mentors or point of contact for incoming and new members.

After joining the chamber I was excited to be part of the Ambassadors group. The Ambassadors are the welcome committee to all new members…picture going to a new school and being shown around by a buddy. It’s always fun meeting new people and being introduced to so many different types of businesses involved in the chamber. Plus, who doesn’t love networking? Especially with snacks!!

The Houston West Chamber of Commerce has opened a world of opportunities for me and my company. You truly get out of it what you put into it. For 15+ years I have been an ambassador, and it is a very rewarding experience. Our mission is to make our members feel welcome, help members understand the business power of the chamber, and to be a resource for members to get a clear picture of the chamber through the eyes of a member. The benefit is that through helping members maximize their membership we get increase our exposure in the market. The Chamber staff appreciates the commitment of the ambassadors as we are all working for a common goal.
